# §240. Rules and regulations


Rules and regulations for the enforcement of sections [237](/usc/15/237.md) to [242](/usc/15/242.md) of this title, not inconsistent with the provisions of said sections, shall be made by the Director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology and approved by the Secretary of Commerce, and such rules and regulations shall include reasonable variations or tolerances which may be allowed.
