# §1681f. Disclosures to governmental agencies


Notwithstanding the provisions of [section 1681b of this title](/usc/15/1681b.md), a [consumer reporting agency](/usc/15/1681a.md?p=f) may furnish identifying information respecting any [consumer](/usc/15/1681a.md?p=c), limited to his name, address, former addresses, places of employment, or former places of employment, to a governmental agency.
