# §1645. Business credit cards; limits on liability of employees


The exemption provided by [section 1603(1) of this title](/usc/15/1603.md?p=1) does not apply to the provisions of sections [1642](/usc/15/1642.md), [1643](/usc/15/1643.md), and [1644](/usc/15/1644.md) of this title, except that a [card issuer](/usc/15/1602.md?p=o) and a business or other [organization](/usc/15/1602.md?p=d) which provides [credit cards](/usc/15/1602.md?p=l) issued by the same [card issuer](/usc/15/1602.md?p=o) to ten or more of its employees may by contract agree as to liability of the business or other [organization](/usc/15/1602.md?p=d) with respect to [unauthorized use](/usc/15/1602.md?p=p) of such [credit cards](/usc/15/1602.md?p=l) without regard to the provisions of [section 1643 of this title](/usc/15/1643.md), but in no case may such business or other [organization](/usc/15/1602.md?p=d) or [card issuer](/usc/15/1602.md?p=o) impose liability upon any employee with respect to [unauthorized use](/usc/15/1602.md?p=p) of such a [credit card](/usc/15/1602.md?p=l) except in accordance with and subject to the limitations of [section 1643 of this title](/usc/15/1643.md).
