# §157. Regulations and fees; disposition of fees and penalties

- (a) The [Secretary](/usc/15/142.md?p=e) is authorized to make such regulations as may be necessary to carry into effect the functions vested in him or in the [registrar](/usc/15/142.md?p=f) by this chapter.
- (b) The [Secretary](/usc/15/142.md?p=e) is authorized to prescribe and fix the amount of such fees (other than the incorporation fee) to be paid him or the [registrar](/usc/15/142.md?p=f) for services rendered by the [Secretary](/usc/15/142.md?p=e) or the [registrar](/usc/15/142.md?p=f) to any [person](/usc/15/142.md?p=a) in the [administration](/usc/15/636e.md?p=1) of the provisions of this chapter. All fees and penalties paid under this chapter shall be covered into the Treasury of the United States as miscellaneous receipts.
