# §1212. Violations; misdemeanor; penalties


Any [person](/usc/15/7a.md?p=6) who violates [section 1211 of this title](/usc/15/1211.md) shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to imprisonment for not more than one year, or a fine of not more than $1,000, or both.
