# §1141n. Rights of extension of protection


When a United States registration and a subsequently issued certificate of [extension of protection](/usc/15/1141.md?p=6) to the United States are owned by the same [person](/usc/15/7a.md?p=6), identify the same mark, and list the same goods or services, the [extension of protection](/usc/15/1141.md?p=6) shall have the same rights that accrued to the registration prior to issuance of the certificate of [extension of protection](/usc/15/1141.md?p=6).
