# §5240. Preservation of authority


With the exception of [section 5236 of this title](/usc/12/5236.md), nothing in this chapter may be construed to limit the authority of the [Secretary](/usc/12/5202.md?p=7) or the [Board](/usc/12/5202.md?p=2) under any other provision of law.
