# §3306. State liaison


To encourage the application of uniform examination principles and standards by [State](/usc/12/1707.md?p=d) and Federal supervisory agencies, the [Council](/usc/12/3302.md?p=2) shall establish a liaison committee composed of five representatives of [State](/usc/12/1707.md?p=d) agencies which supervise [financial institutions](/usc/12/3302.md?p=3) which shall meet at least twice a year with the [Council](/usc/12/3302.md?p=2). Members of the liaison committee shall receive a reasonable allowance for necessary expenses incurred in attending meetings. Members of the Liaison Committee shall elect a chairperson from among the members serving on the committee.
