# §2283. Creation of Federal Financing Bank


There is hereby created a body corporate to be known as the Federal Financing [Bank](/usc/12/2282.md?p=4), which shall have succession until dissolved by an Act of Congress. The [Bank](/usc/12/2282.md?p=4) shall be subject to the general supervision and direction of the [Secretary](/usc/12/1715z–22a.md?p=4) of the Treasury. The [Bank](/usc/12/2282.md?p=4) shall be an instrumentality of the United States Government and shall maintain such offices as may be necessary or appropriate in the conduct of its business.
