# §1790c. Reward for information leading to recoveries or civil penalties


The [Board](/usc/12/1752.md?p=4) may pay rewards in connection with an offense affecting an [insured credit union](/usc/12/1752.md?p=7), under the same circumstances and subject to the same limitations that a Federal banking agency may pay rewards under [section 1831j of this title](/usc/12/1831j.md) in connection with an offense affecting a [depository institution](/usc/12/1861.md?p=b-4) insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
