# §1746a. Termination of commitment authority under this subchapter


Notwithstanding any other provision of this subchapter, no [mortgage](/usc/12/1736.md?p=a) or loan shall be insured under any section of this subchapter after August 2, 1954 except pursuant to a commitment to insure issued on or before such date.
