# §941. Art. 141. Status


There is a court of [record](/usc/10/801.md?p=14) known as the [United States](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-1) Court of Appeals for the [Armed Forces](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-4). The court is established under article I of the Constitution. The court is located for administrative purposes only in the [Department](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-6) of Defense.
