# §9015. Under Secretary of the Air Force

- (a) There is an Under [Secretary](/usc/10/9511.md?p=10) of the Air Force, appointed from civilian life by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate.
- (b) The Under [Secretary](/usc/10/9511.md?p=10) shall perform such duties and exercise such powers as the [Secretary](/usc/10/9511.md?p=10) of the Air Force may prescribe.
