# §8943. Supplies: military instruction camps


Under such conditions as he may prescribe, the [Secretary](/usc/10/8720.md?p=4) of the [Navy](/usc/10/8001.md?p=a-1) may issue, to any educational institution at which an [officer](/usc/10/8001.md?p=a-5) of the naval service is detailed as professor of naval science, such [supplies](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-14) as are necessary to establish and maintain a camp for the military instruction of its students. The [Secretary](/usc/10/8720.md?p=4) shall require a bond in the value of the property issued under this section, for the care and safekeeping of that property and except for property properly expended, for its return when required.
