# §8216. Aviation duties: number of personnel assigned


The number of [officers](/usc/10/8001.md?p=a-5) and [enlisted members](/usc/10/8001.md?p=a-4) of the [Navy](/usc/10/8001.md?p=a-1) and the [Marine Corps](/usc/10/8001.md?p=a-2) detailed to duty involving flying and to other duties in connection with aircraft shall be in accordance with the requirements of naval aviation as determined by the [Secretary](/usc/10/8720.md?p=4) of the [Navy](/usc/10/8001.md?p=a-1).
