# §7441. Faculty and other officers: leaves of absence


The Superintendent of the Academy may grant a leave of absence for the period of the suspension of the ordinary academic studies, without deduction of [pay](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-15) or allowances, to a professor, assistant professor, instructor, or other [officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1) of the Academy.
