# §7152. General officers: title of office


An [officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1) holding an appointment as a [general officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-4) in the [Regular](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-12) Army may be called a [general officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-4) in the [Regular](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-12) Army. In addition, a [general officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-4) of the [Regular](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-12) Army in the Medical Corps, Dental Corps, Veterinary Corps, Judge Advocate General’s Corps, or the Chaplains, may be called a [general officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-4) of that branch.
