# §715. Attending Physician to the Congress: grade


A [general officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-4) serving as Attending Physician to the Congress, while so serving, holds the [grade](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-7) of major general. A [flag officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-5) serving as Attending Physician to the Congress, while so serving, holds the [grade](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-7) of rear admiral (upper half).
