# §649j. Other administrative authorities


The following provisions of this title shall apply to [officers](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1) in competitive categories of [officers](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1) designated for purposes of this subchapter:

- (1) [Section 638b](/usc/10/638b.md), relating to voluntary retirement incentives.
- (2) [Section 639](/usc/10/639.md), relating to continuation on [active duty](/usc/10/101.md?p=d-1) to complete disciplinary action.
- (3) [Section 640](/usc/10/640.md), relating to deferment of retirement or separation for medical reasons.
