# §6172. Classification of defense environmental cleanup as capital asset projects or operations activities


The Assistant [Secretary](/usc/10/4951.md?p=3) of Energy for Environmental Management, in consultation with other appropriate officials of the [Department](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-6) of Energy, shall establish requirements for the classification of defense environmental cleanup projects as capital asset projects or operations activities.
