# §6127. Notification of certain regulations that impact the National Nuclear Security Administration

- (a) **In General.—** If a director of a [national security](/usc/10/801.md?p=16) laboratory of the Administration determines that a Federal regulation could inhibit the ability of the [Administrator](/usc/10/2700.md?p=3) to maintain the safety, security, or effectiveness of the nuclear weapons stockpile without engaging in explosive nuclear testing, such director, not later than 15 days after making such determination, shall submit to Congress a notification of such determination.
- (b) **Form.—** Each notification required by [subsection (a)](#a) shall be submitted in unclassified form, but may include a classified annex.
