# §2876. Rental guarantees


The [Secretary concerned](/usc/10/2801.md?p=c-5) may enter into agreements with [eligible entities](/usc/10/2871.md?p=5) that acquire or construct [military](/usc/10/801.md?p=8) family [housing units](/usc/10/2871.md?p=8) or [military unaccompanied housing](/usc/10/2871.md?p=11) units under this subchapter in order to assure—

- (1) the occupancy of such units at levels specified in the agreements; or
- (2) rental income derived from rental of such units at levels specified in the agreements.
