# §2633. Stevedoring and terminal services: vessels carrying cargo or passengers sponsored by military department

- (a) Notwithstanding [section 1301(a) of title 31](/usc/31/1301.md?p=a), the [Secretary](/usc/10/4951.md?p=3) of a [military](/usc/10/801.md?p=8) [department](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-6) may, under such regulations as he may prescribe, furnish stevedoring and terminal services and [facilities](/usc/10/2700.md?p=2) to vessels carrying cargo, or passengers, or both, sponsored by his [department](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-6).
- (b) The furnishing of services and [facilities](/usc/10/2700.md?p=2) under this section shall be at fair and reasonable [rates](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-9).
- (c) The proceeds from furnishing services and [facilities](/usc/10/2700.md?p=2) under this section shall be paid to the credit of the appropriation or fund out of which the services or [facilities](/usc/10/2700.md?p=2) were supplied.
