# §2206. Disbursement of funds of military department to cover obligation of another agency of Department of Defense


As far as authorized by the [Secretary](/usc/10/4951.md?p=3) of Defense, a disbursing official of a [military](/usc/10/801.md?p=8) [department](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-6) may, out of available advances, make disbursements to cover obligations in connection with any [function](/usc/10/467.md?p=1), power, or duty of another [department](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-6) or [agency](/usc/10/3451.md?p=3) of the [Department](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-6) of Defense and charge those disbursements on vouchers, to the appropriate appropriation of that [department](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-6) or [agency](/usc/10/3451.md?p=3). Disbursements so made shall be adjusted in settling the accounts of the disbursing official.
