# §2105. Advanced training; failure to complete or to accept commission


A [member of the program](/usc/10/2101.md?p=2) who is selected for [advanced training](/usc/10/2101.md?p=3) under [section 2104 of this title](/usc/10/2104.md), and who does not complete the course of instruction, or who completes the course but declines to accept a commission when offered, may be ordered to [active duty](/usc/10/101.md?p=d-1) by the [Secretary](/usc/10/4951.md?p=3) of the [military](/usc/10/801.md?p=8) [department](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-6) concerned to serve in his enlisted [grade](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-7) or [rating](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-9) for such period of time as the [Secretary](/usc/10/4951.md?p=3) prescribes but not for more than two years. If the member does not complete the period of [active duty](/usc/10/101.md?p=d-1) prescribed by the [Secretary concerned](/usc/10/2801.md?p=c-5), the member shall be subject to the repayment provisions of section 303a(e) or 373 of title 37.
