# §20603. Enlisted members: voluntary retirement for length of service

- (a) **Twenty to Thirty Years.—** Under regulations to be prescribed by the Secretary of the Air Force, an [enlisted member](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-6) of the Space Force who has at least 20, but less than 30, years of service computed under [section 20604 of this title](/usc/10/20604.md) may, upon the member’s request, be retired.
- (b) **Thirty Years or More.—** An [enlisted member](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-6) of the Space Force who has at least 30 years of service computed under [section 20604 of this title](/usc/10/20604.md) shall be retired upon the member’s request.
