# §20263. Entitlement of officers discharged or retired under this chapter to separation pay or retired pay

- (a) **Separation Pay.—** An [officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1) who is discharged under this chapter is entitled, if eligible therefor, to separation [pay](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-15) under [section 1174 of this title](/usc/10/1174.md).
- (b) **Retired Pay.—** An [officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1) who is retired under this chapter is entitled to retired [pay](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-15) computed under chapter [71](/usc/10/chstA/ptII/ch71.md) or [1223](/usc/10/chstE/ptII/ch1223.md) of this title, as applicable.
