# §18502. Reserve components: supplies, services, and facilities

- (a) The [Secretary concerned](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-9) shall make available to the [reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) components under his jurisdiction the [supplies](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-14), services, and [facilities](/usc/10/18232.md?p=2) of the [armed forces](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-4) under his jurisdiction that he considers necessary to support and develop those components.
- (b) Whenever he finds it to be in the best interest of the [United States](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-1), the [Secretary concerned](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-9) may issue [supplies](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-14) of the [armed forces](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-4) under his jurisdiction to the [reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) components under his jurisdiction, without charge to the appropriations for those components for the cost or value of the [supplies](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-14) or for any related expense.
- (c) Whenever he finds it to be in the best interest of the [United States](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-1), the [Secretary](/usc/10/12521.md?p=4) of the Army or the [Secretary](/usc/10/12521.md?p=4) of the Air Force may issue to the [Army National Guard](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-2) or the [Air National Guard](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-4), as the case may be, [supplies](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-14) of the [armed forces](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-4) under his jurisdiction that are in addition to [supplies](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-14) issued to that [National Guard](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-1) under [section 702 of title 32](/usc/32/702.md) or charged against its appropriations under section [106](/usc/32/106.md) or [107](/usc/32/107.md) of title 32, without charge to the appropriations for those components for the cost or value of the [supplies](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-14) or for any related expense.
- (d) [Supplies](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-14) issued under subsection [(b)](#b) or [(c)](#c) may be repossessed or redistributed as prescribed by the [Secretary concerned](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-9).
