# §15107. Retirement: retirement for years of service; selective early retirement

- (a) **Retirement for Years of Service.—** Sections [14507](/usc/10/14507.md) through [14515](/usc/10/14515.md) of this title shall apply to the retirement of [officers](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1) in competitive categories of [officers](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1) designated for purposes of this chapter.
- (b) **Selective Early Retirement.—** [Section 14101(b) of this title](/usc/10/14101.md?p=b) shall apply to the retirement of [officers](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1) described in [subsection (a)](#a).
