# §14518. Continuation of officers to complete disciplinary action


The [Secretary concerned](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-9) may delay the separation or retirement under this chapter of an [officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1) against whom an action has been commenced with a view to trying the [officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1) by court-martial. Any such delay may continue until the completion of the disciplinary action against the [officer](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1).
