# §10142. Ready Reserve

- (a) The Ready [Reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) consists of units or [Reserves](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6), or both, liable for [active duty](/usc/10/101.md?p=d-1) as provided in sections [12301](/usc/10/12301.md) and [12302](/usc/10/12302.md) of this title.
- (b) The [authorized strength](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-11) of the Ready [Reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) is 2,900,000.
