# §10110. Air Force Reserve: composition


The Air Force [Reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) is a [reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) component of the Air Force to provide a [reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) for [active duty](/usc/10/101.md?p=d-1). It consists of the members of the [officers](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-1)’ section of the Air Force [Reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) and of the enlisted section of the Air Force [Reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6). It [includes](/usc/10/101.md?p=g-4) all [Reserves](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) of the Air Force who are not members of the [Air National Guard of the United States](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-5).
