# §10108. Navy Reserve: administration

- (a) The Navy [Reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) is the [reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) component of the Navy. It shall be organized, administered, trained, and supplied under the direction of the Chief of Naval Operations.
- (b) The bureaus and offices of the [executive part of the Department](/usc/10/101.md?p=a-7) of the Navy have the same relation and responsibility to the Navy [Reserve](/usc/10/101.md?p=c-6) as they do to the [Regular](/usc/10/101.md?p=b-12) Navy.
