# §78.5. General restrictions.


Cattle may not be moved interstate except in compliance with this subpart and with [9 CFR part 86](/cfr/9/part86.md). Cattle moved interstate under permit in accordance with this subpart are not required to be accompanied by an interstate certificate of veterinary inspection or owner-shipper statement.
