# §151.8. Eligibility of an animal for certification.


To be eligible for certification under the act, an animal must be purebred of a recognized breed and have been registered in good faith in a book of record listed in [§ 151.9](/cfr/9/151.9.md) and must not have been registered on inspection without regard to purity of breeding.
