# §12.1. Scope and applicability of rules of practice.


The Uniform Rules of Practice for the Department of Agriculture promulgated in [subpart H of part 1](/cfr/9/part1-subpartH.md), subtitle A, [title 7, Code of Federal Regulations](/cfr/7.md), are the Rules of Practice applicable to adjudicatory, administrative proceedings under section 6(a) of the Horse Protection Act of 1970 ([15 U.S.C. 1825(a)](/usc/15/1825.md?p=a)) and sections 6 (b) and (c) of the Horse Protection Act (15 U.S.C. [1825 (b)](/usc/15/1825.md?p=b) and [(c)](/usc/15/1825.md?p=c)). In addition, the Supplemental Rules of Practice set forth in [subpart B](/cfr/9/subpartB.md) of this part shall be applicable to such proceedings.
