# §100.5. Regulations.


The regulations of the Department of Homeland Security, published as [chapter I of title 8 of the Code of Federal Regulations](/cfr/8/chI.md), contain information which under the provisions of section 552 of [title 5](/cfr/5.md) of the United States Code, is required to be published and is subdivided into subchapter A (General Provisions, parts [1](/cfr/8/part1.md) through [3](/cfr/8/part3.md), inclusive), subchapter B (Immigration Regulations, parts [100](/cfr/8/part100.md) through [299](/cfr/8/part299.md), inclusive), and subchapter C (Nationality Regulations, parts [306](/cfr/8/part306.md) through [499](/cfr/8/part499.md), inclusive). Any person desiring information with respect to a particular procedure (other than rule making) under the Immigration and Nationality Act should examine the part or section in [chapter I of title 8 of the Code of Federal Regulations](/cfr/8/chI.md) dealing with such procedures as well as the section of the Act implemented by such part or section.
