# §989.30. Selection.


The Secretary shall select producer, handler, cooperative bargaining association(s), and public members and alternate members in the number specified in 989.26, as applicable, and with the qualifications specified in [§ 989.27](/cfr/7/989.27.md). Such selections may be made from nominations certified pursuant to [§ 989.29](/cfr/7/989.29.md) or from other eligible producers, handlers, or cooperative bargaining association(s) officers or employees.
