# §959.28. Failure to nominate.


If nominations are not made within the time and in the manner specified in [§ 959.27](/cfr/7/959.27.md), the Secretary may, without regard to nominations, select the committee members and alternates, which selection shall be on the basis of the representation provided for in [§§ 959.22 through 959.26](/cfr/7/959.22..959.26.md).
