# §868.82. Voluntary cancellation or suspension of license.


Upon request by a licensee, the Service may cancel a license or suspend a license for a period of time not to exceed 1 year. A license that has been voluntarily suspended shall be returned by the Service upon request by the licensee within 1 year, subject to the provisions of § [868.81(a)](/cfr/7/868.81.md?p=a) and [(b)](/cfr/7/868.81.md?p=b); a license that has been cancelled shall be considered void and shall not be subject to return or renewal.
