# §763.14. Appraisals.

- (a) **Standard guarantee plan.** For the standard guarantee plan, the value of real estate to be purchased will be established by an appraisal obtained at Agency expense and completed as specified in [§ 761.7](/cfr/7/761.7.md) of this chapter. An appraisal is required prior to, or as a condition of, approval of the guarantee.
- (b) **Prompt payment guarantee plan.** The Agency may, at its option and expense, obtain an appraisal to determine value of real estate to be purchased under the Prompt Payment Guarantee plan.
