# §3203.1. Purpose.


This part sets forth the procedures to be utilized by USDA when transferring excess USDA computers or other technical equipment to an organization for the purposes of distribution to a city, town, or local government entity in a rural area as authorized by [7 U.S.C. 2206b](/usc/7/2206b.md).
