# §1a.4. Limitations.


The powers granted by §§ [1a.2(a)](/cfr/7/1a.2.md?p=a) and [1a.2(b)](/cfr/7/1a.2.md?p=b) shall be exercised only when a designated official is engaged in an investigation of alleged or suspected felony violations of statutes administered by the Secretary of Agriculture or any agency of the Department.
