# §1520.1. General statement.


This part is issued in accordance with the regulations of the Secretary of Agriculture [7 CFR](/cfr/7.md), [part 1](/cfr/7/part1.md)—Administrative Regulations, [Subpart A](/cfr/7/subpartA.md)—Official Records, [§ 1.3](/cfr/7/1.3.md), Agency Implementing Regulations, for the Freedom of Information Act ([5 U.S.C. 552](/usc/5/552.md)). The Secretary's Regulations, as implemented by the regulations in this part govern the availability of records of the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) to the public.
