# §1221.105. Vacancies.


To fill any vacancy occasioned by the death, removal, resignation, or disqualification of any member of the Board, a successor for the unexpired term of such representative shall be appointed by the Secretary pursuant to [§ 1221.103](/cfr/7/1221.103.md) from the most recent list of nominations for the position pursuant to [§ 1221.101](/cfr/7/1221.101.md) or the Secretary shall request nominations for a successor pursuant to [§ 1221.101](/cfr/7/1221.101.md), except that said nomination and replacement shall not be required if an unexpired term is less than 6 months.
