# §158.403. Talent market analysis.


On an ongoing basis, the Secretary or designee conducts an analysis of the cybersecurity talent market, using generally recognized compensation principles and practices to:

- (a) Identify and monitor trends in both employment for and availability of talent related to cybersecurity, including variations in the cost of talent in local cybersecurity talent markets, defined in [§ 158.612(b)(1)](/cfr/6/158.612.md?p=b-1), or variations in the cost of living in those markets, or both; and
- (b) **Identify leading strategies for recruiting and retaining talent related to cybersecurity.**
