# §894.802. Am I a TEI for a FEDVIP dental plan (TEI-D) if I am eligible to enroll or be covered under the TRICARE Retiree Dental Program?


A TRICARE-eligible individual for FEDVIP dental benefits (TEI-D) means an individual who is eligible to be enrolled and/or who may be covered under the TRICARE Retiree Dental Program (TRDP) pursuant to [10 U.S.C. 1076c(b)](/usc/10/1076c.md?p=b) as set forth in 32 CFR [199.3](/cfr/32/199.3.md) and [199.22](/cfr/32/199.22.md). Individuals covered under any of the following programs are excluded and are not TEI-D: TRICARE Young Adult provisions of [10 U.S.C. 1110b](/usc/10/1110b.md); Transitional Assistance Management Program (TAMP), [10 U.S.C. 1145(a)](/usc/10/1145.md?p=a)); Continued Health Care Benefit Program (CHCBP); [10 U.S.C. 1078a](/usc/10/1078a.md); or Foreign Military (including NATO) sponsor/family coverage.
