# §847.422. Crediting future NAFI service.


An employee who elects to remain in FERS coverage with credit for NAFI service under [§ 847.421(a)](/cfr/5/847.421.md?p=a) will be covered by FERS during all periods of future service not excluded from coverage by FERS, including any periods of service with a NAFI and service as a reemployed annuitant.
