# §734.701. General.


In addition to the provisions regulating political activity set forth in subparts [A](/cfr/5/subpartA.md) through [G](/cfr/5/subpartG.md) of this part, there are a number of statutes and Executive orders that establish standards to which the political activity of an employee, a Federal labor organization, a Federal employee organization, and a multicandidate political committee must conform. The list set forth in [§ 734.702](/cfr/5/734.702.md) references some of the more significant of those statutes. It is not comprehensive and includes only references to statutes of general applicability.
