# §551.217. Exemption of Border Patrol agents.


A Border Patrol agent (as defined in 5 U.S.C. [5550(a)(2)](/usc/5/5550.md?p=a-2) and [5](/usc/5/5.md) CFR 550.1603) is exempt from the minimum wage and the hours of work and overtime pay provisions of the Act.
